Water Soldier (Stratiotes aloides) is an invasive aquatic plant in the Bay of Quinte that can form dense mats, crowd native plants, and interfere with boating, fishing and other recreational activities. Join Quinte Conservation and the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks for an information night to learn more about Water Soldier, the different ways it is being managed in the Bay of Quinte, and the herbicide treatment being used in targeted areas.
Management control efforts for invasive phragmites will be taking place along roadsides throughout the City of Belleville and Prince Edward County starting the week of August 17th.
