Watershed management covers the programs and services offered by Quinte Conservation to understand and protect our natural environment, such as:
- Monitoring , protecting, and improving the health of the watershed through our monitoring programs, and the Bay of Quinte Remedial Action Plan;
- The sustainable use of our lands;
- Protecting our municipal drinking water systems through the Source Water Protection Program;
- Monitoring water levels to assess flood and low water;
- Operating and maintaining our dams and weirs;
- Reviewing new developments to reduce their impact on water quality and flooding through our stormwater management program;
- Analysis and planning for climate change; and
- Other special projects.
