2021 ADOPT AN ACRE SUCCESSFULLY SUPPORTS QUINTE CONSERVATION’S AREAS

Quinte Conservation’s 2021 Adopt an Acre fundraiser was a success, with nearly 200 acres adopted between November 15th and December 13th. We are incredibly thankful to all those who made donations and helped us to raise over $5,000. Those who missed the campaign can still symbolically Adopt an Acre anytime throughout the year at QuinteConservation.ca

Looking toward the year ahead, we are happy to be celebrating 75 years of Conservation efforts throughout our watershed. In honour of this special anniversary, we will be launching a limited-edition plush mascot toy which will be available when we kick off this year’s Adopt an Acre campaign in November.

All proceeds from Adopt an Acre go toward the continued preservation and maintenance of Quinte Conservation’s green spaces. Thanks to fundraisers like Adopt an Acre, community donations, and parking fees, Quinte Conservation continues to make improvements and upgrades to this watershed’s conservation areas.

Quinte Conservation is a community-based environmental protection agency.  It serves 18 municipalities in the watersheds of the Moira, Napanee and Salmon Rivers and Prince Edward County.  It provides cost-effective environmental expertise and leadership.  Quinte Conservation’s main goal is to create a sustainable ecosystem where people and nature live in harmony.  More information about Quinte Conservation is available at www.quinteconservation.ca.
