QUINTE CONSERVATION ISSUES FLOOD OUTLOOK STATEMENT FOR THE MOIRA RIVER WATERSHED
Quinte Conservation has issued a Flood Outlook Statement for the Moira River, Black River near Actinolite, and the Skootamatta River. Water Resources Manager Christine McClure says, “Forecasts show there is the potential for 45 millimetres of rain across the watershed on Monday and Tuesday. There is still snow north of Highway 7 and this will melt next week as temperatures increase.”

QUINTE CONSERVATION EXTENDS WATER SAFETY STATEMENT
Quinte Conservation is extending the Water Safety Statement into next week due to forecast rain. Water Resources Manager Christine McClure says, “Right now the ground is saturated from recent rains. This means the rain will run off into our waterways. Local lake levels will rise and people will see increased levels and flow in local rivers and streams.
